This Week’s Discoveries…

It’s a Fabulous Friday, the sun is out and I’m about to go on a very long walk – a hike? into the forest and mountains that surround this beautiful city of Vancouver.  If you’ve been reading my posts you’ll know I make a point of Doing, Learning and Discovering something every day so here’s a few Discoveries (or timely reminders) – enjoy!

1.

Being creative has more to do with being fearless than intelligent, brilliant or any other adjective superficially associated with creativity.’  – Scott Berkun.  You can read more of his excellent essay here.

2.

Alice Munro‘s collection of stories: Hateship, Friendship, Courtship, Marriage

Brilliantly observed and realistic and as with everything Ms Munro writes deeply affecting.

3.

If you have not watched it yet, I urge you to watch JK Rowling’s Harvard Commencement Address for perspective on ‘Failure’.
